Alex is our longest-standing relationship in Honduras, dating back to our first visit there in 2017 when we were blown away with his coffee.  During our visit this year we learned that Alex has passed on his farm to his father Giovanny and the rest of the family.  We are excited to see that the quality is even better under his father's supervision.  The coffee is still Paraneima, which is a cross between Villas Sarchi and Catimor and it is tough as nails but still boasts an intense cup quality.  Due to the intensity we asked Giovanny to try using a processing method known as honey processing to mellow out some of the intensity and increase the sweetness.  The results turned out great!  We have a very limited quantity of this first trial but hope to increase the quantities for next year.
