This coffee is a huge favorite year after year and we are excited to have it back and better than ever!  If you look at the coffees that win the cup of excellence in Nicaragua, a lot of them are this varietal. And we don't really see this variety in too many other countries except Nicaragua. It is a hybrid of the varieties Maragogipe (super big beans) and Caturra (commonly grown in Central America).  Our long time farmer partner Luis has been growing Maracaturra and winning competitions with it for a long time. He has found a really precise way to naturally process this coffee so that it has a strong fruited/spicy character as well as nice balanced acidity.  We think you will enjoy the oddity of the huge beans as well as the pristine flavor of this coffee.
